In my cannon verse, Meeya and David get together after Meeya asks David out on a date after an unsaid amount of subtle flirting between the two. David, though surprised thinks no harm can come from it. After the first few months of dating, he begins to feel a bit uncertain on his feelings of Meeya if she is a friend or something more to him. He also began suspecting Meeya of having deeper feelings for him when her reaction to him being uncomfortable with kissing was met with restrained sadness but understanding...

David did get some confirmation within himself though when he realized he didn't like seeing other men try to flirt with Meeya, and also found himself thinking of her for most of his time. Everything about her he loved; her sweet but strong willed nature, her nuturing demure toward those in need, and many more reasons.

He confessed to Meeya on her 24th birthday, and she confirms her own feelings as well. After a year, the two of them wed and in another year are expecting their first child. David's reaction was calmer then his brother's, but still was a bit nervous. Meeya on the other hand was esactic to become a mother. And nine months later, their first born Darkin arrived in the world. Both love and dot on him, but are also firm with education and discipline. After feeling they gained enough experience from their son on raising kids (and also since Darkin seemed lonely without siblings) both tried again for children. As the picture shows, it was successful and Meeya is now with twins, due to be born next year.

Info on their only child (so far):

Darkin: Age 8. Is a quiet and gentle child. Normally sticks close to his mother. He has a fascination with stars, shooting stars in particular and also flowers and plants. He inheirts his father's magical abilities too, and is being trained by both him and Serus to control it. Likes to be with his cousins as well, though doesn't like it if they sneak to the city without the adults. He follows nonetheless to make sure nothing bad happens to them. Is a bit of a worrywort that way.
